CCC helps at the
Optimists Fly-in/Pancake Breakfast
The Classy Chassy Cruisers were invited to host the car show Sunday, August 25th from 7a-12n at the Iowa City Airport for the Optimists Fly-in/Pancake Breakfast. It began as a overcast sky and was cool. We had 34 classic and unique autos register and they received a free pancake breakfast. Specators and participants voted for their “Best of Show” and the Optimists President and CCC President presented the trophy to Pat Wade, Iowa City.
50/50 was conducted and brought in $131. The lucky ticket holder was Jim Keiffer, Kalona who donated his half back to Iowa City Hospice.
There were many other activities going on for the children and adults. Ie. the Monarch Butterfly display, the Children’s Museum, the Firemen trucks, Highway Patrol, the helicopters and airplanes. Many took advantage of the airplane rides.
Thank you to the Optimist Club for asking us to host the car show, they were pleased with the display of autos. Thanks goes to those CCC members who helped set up, work, and tear down after the car show.
