Also present was Barbara Barrows, Marketing Director for Iowa City Hospice; Deb Lewis; Donna Heacock; and Daryl Lewis. Monies were from Half of Registration from Cruise Ins; Registration Show n Shines, and 50/50.    Iowa City Hospice is community-based, not-for-profit hospice organization. Their mission is to provide compassionate care for anyone in our community affected by serious advanced illness and end of life conditions. Their vision is that Iowa City Hospice is the recognized expert in innovative care for people with those serious advanced illnesses and end of life conditions. They provide care to individuals within our seven-county service area. That area includes Johnson, Iowa, Linn, Cedar, Muscatine, Louisa, and Washington counties. Their staff provides care wherever the patient is, a house, a nursing home, an assisted living, or a hospital.

Next CCC members went to Pathways of Iowa City where they were joined by CCC member Pat Wade.

Mark Heacock presented a check for $300 (monies were half of registration collected at Cruise Ins) and a large box of a variety of paper goods and food to Carrie Meade, Director of Pathways. Adult day care offers mental, social, and physical activities for adults who have lost some independence due to cognitive impairments or chronic health conditions.

2020 was not a particularly good year with the COVID-19 virus and rain and storms, we pray that 2021 will be a better year.
