2021 CCC Cruise-In



            It is April 29, 2022 with spring showers. Our 1st Friday Night Cruise In April 29, 2022 started out with showers and wind. We were hesitant to start, but then some classics and cruisers began to show up. We had 28 register for $1 or a free will donation for Hospice, and we brought in $66. They were eligible for door prizes. Participants  came from Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Cedar Rapids, Washington, Williamsburg, Mechanicsville, Kalona, Conroy, Solon, Ladora, and Keota.

            Daryl Lewis did his magic cruising thru the crowd and brought in $100 for the 50/50.

             7:30p we announced the winners of the door prizes, 50/50, People’s Choice, and the Grand Prizes quickly as the rain was coming our way. Jim Renk, Iowa City had the lucky 50/50 ticket winning $50. He donated his winnings to Hospice – thank you. Dale Gosnell, Conroy won the $50 Visa Card from Major Sponsor – Sperry Engines, Cedar Rapids. Sperry Engines, Cedar Rapids also donated a Gift Certificate Valued at $50 for Service work and Diane Stastny, Iowa City  was the winner. People Choice was a $25 gift certificate from Hills Bank and was won by Ray Alberhasky, Iowa City with his 39’ Ford “Vitosh” Pick Up.  Major Sponsor -Riverside Casino, Riverside donated a Weekday Night Stay and two buffets and Donna Heacock, Iowa City held the lucky ticket and went home with that.

            Overall, it was a great cruise in, and we made it. A Big thank you to those members that stepped in to help set up and tear down. Thanks goes to Bob Reese for getting the golf cart from Sponsor Wade’s Golf, Williamsburg. He also transported people to the Mall for the restrooms and food court.

        Saturday, April 23rd was a windy day for the CCC Trailer  Prep and Organization. A big THANK YOU to Bob Reese, Ted Pacha and Mark Heacock for getting the job done. We are ready for the First Friday Night Cruise In April 29th.
